1. What are the conditions for the use of Gift Cards?
•Valid for all Pestana Hotel Group brands in Portugal.
•You need to book on pestana.com by typing the Gift Card code into the date search.
•When booking, the value of the Gift Card will be deducted from the final price.
•Only 1 Gift Card can be used per booking; redeeming multiple Gift Cards for the same booking is not permitted, and they can´t be used together with other Gift Cards or promotional codes.
• When making a booking with a Gift Card, it will be regarded as having been used. If you cancel the booking you will not be able to use it again, however, you will still be able to change the dates for the same Hotel or Pousada de Portugal.
•If the value of the Gift Card is greater than the total value of the booking, the difference will not be refunded.
•Gift Cards may be used at All Inclusive Hotels or for Half Board rates if the value of the accommodation is greater than the value of the Gift Card.
2. Can Gift Cards be used on any date?
Yes, Gift Cards serve to obtain a discount on a booking, and can be used on any date at the listed Hotels and Pousadas.

4. How do I obtain my Gift Card once I have paid?
You can choose to have your Gift Card delivered in physical or digital format at the time of your purchase.
•Physical Gift Cards are delivered by CTT Expresso to the address provided at the time you complete your purchase. Deliveries to Mainland Portugal and the Islands may take 48 hours (business days) from the date of payment. International deliveries may take up to 12 days.
•Gift Cards are delivered to the e-mail address provided in the purchase process as soon as your payment has been confirmed.
If you pay through an ATM at the weekend, confirmation of payment will only reach us on the first subsequent business day, meaning your Voucher will only be sent after this date. There are no deliveries at weekends.
5. How long are Gift Cards valid for? Can they be extended?
Your Gift Card is valid for 12 months and can´t be extended; it will be cancelled automatically once the expiry date has passed.
6. Can I exchange or return a gift card or ask for a refund?
Gift Cards can´t be exchanged or returned once opened.
Returns - up to 15 days after the date of purchase. Exchanges - up to 30 days prior to the expiry date. The exchange value must be greater than the original purchase value upon presentation of the invoice. We do not exchange Gift Cards purchased at retail outlets. Gift Cards can´t be exchanged for cash or for any product or service other than that purchased. Refunds - Gift Cards are non-refundable through the use of a service with a lower value.
7. How do I book?
You MUST PRE-BOOK if you wish to use a Gift Card.
1. Go to the pestana.com website
2. Choose a Pousada or Hotel
3. Choose your dates
4. Type the number next to the bar code in the "Special Prices" field
5. Conclude the booking
8. Can I use more than 1 Gift Card per booking?
You can only use 1 Gift Card per booking and they cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions in force.
9. Can I make a booking while the Gift Card is valid and stay at the pousada/hotel after the 12-month period?
No. You need to check-out within the 12-month period, after which your Gift Card will have expired.
10. If I have already made a booking, will I be able to use a Gift Card at a later date?
No. Gift Cards have to be used at the time of booking. If you have already made a booking and want to use a Gift Card, you will need to cancel the initial booking and make a new one. Please note that in this situation the prices may have already changed.
The Pestana Hotel Group may close hotels on a temporary or permanent basis due to reasons of force majeure, in which case the hotel(s) in question will be temporarily excluded from the scope of this agreement. The Pestana Group will always undertake to forward requests to other hotels when justified.
